Watching the segment brought back traumatic memories for Malaysian born Tim who bravely revealed that after he and his longtime friend decided to have a baby and co-parent the child together, their surrogate lost the child days before they planned to announce the IVF treatments were successful and that he was going to be a dad.
"I went through something just as hard," Tim said from his couch, as his sister and Gogglebox co-star Leanne comforted him. "I was a father… I had the high, I'd been told that it was successful. It is the most heart-wrenching thing I've ever had to go through
Tim, who is in a long-term relationship with his partner Mark, and his sister have quickly become fan favourites on the series, continuously shocking viewers with his wicked sense of humour and zest for life. Before making his reality television debut earlier this year, Tim warned in an interview with The Daily Telegraph that he has no plans to hold back!
“At times, we’re not the most PC (politically correct) people,” he told The Daily Telegraph in February. “I’m probably the most un-PC when it comes to LGBTQI conversations. I’m a firm believer that at a certain point we’ve become too PC in the world today. I have a very thick skin as well.”
