REVIEW: 'Grace & Frankie' S5

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are back in the Netflix sitcom - by Gavin Scott
  • 22 Jan 2019

After their children sold it out from underneath them last season, the titular duo are on a mission to get their beach house back in this next batch of episodes of Grace & Frankie – even if it means camping out on the floor. Watch the trailer below.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are in hilarious form as they rough it and plot, while their former husbands, played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, have their own issues to contend with, including a much younger, very buff housemate.

Frankie at the wheel! #bts #GraceAndFrankie

As well as the usual quips and one-liners from the perfectly timed Fonda and Tomlin, the pair have a new sparring partner in the form of RuPaul, whose character works for the new owner of the house (played by another well-known face). Shante, he can stay.

Watch out also for an alternate timeline story in the season's final episode, which presents a very different possibility of what could have been, including a very different looking Fonda! (On Netflix now) 3 stars

Gavin Scott
A pop culture enthusiast from a young age, Gavin is equally passionate about great pop music (’80s synthpop, ’10s dream pop), gripping TV series (Friday Night Lights, The Handmaid’s Tale) and trips to the cinema (I love a blockbuster as much as anyone, but I’m done with the superhero thing).
