The fashion and now beauty conglomerate has just set itself apart in the social media landscape as it has just launched a beautifully curated account which is an art and beauty lover’s dream.
Not your typical beauty Instagram account that’s filled with swatches and selfie re-grams, @guccibeauty consists of a variety of art genres such as Egyptian art and Japanese woodblocks and is a well-crafted visual grid of beauty, history, art and culture.
Each IG post is captioned by actual art writers and is dedicated to Gucci’s creative Director Alessandro Michele’s “vision of beauty.”
The website states “Beauty represents an ideal of each place and era, a style that the artist felt was worth preserving. Sometimes it meant high hairlines and high collars, like Elizabethan England, but it can also be native woman’s simple blouse from an 1876 portrait by painter Felipe Santiago Gutierrez, one of the first international Mexican artists.”
The account will still have beauty posts from runway shows and trends, but we absolutely love this cool concept that is like visiting an art gallery!
