The Voice coach took to Instagram to announce that he is “taking a break”. While the singer didn’t make it clear whether he was taking a break from music, social media, or the limelight in general, the 37-year-old’s statement came as a shock.
"Just taking off to have a little break but I just want to say thanks to everyone for being so kind and supportive over the last little while. I feel so loved and encouraged especially from all the message I've received about Choir,” he wrote.
"So many of you have written about lost loved ones and struggles with mental health and I am so touched that this song is bringing healing and joy. Love you so much and thanks a million."

Ahead of its release, Guy confirmed that he wrote the song as a tribute to his friend Luke Liang who sadly passed away.
The former Australian Idol winner’s announcement came just hours after fans slammed his performance at the ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night, labelling the singer “music for nerds.
