Appearing on 60 Minutes, Hamish Blake opened up about how fatherhood has changed his life immensely.
Blake, 35, shares 3-year-old son Sonny with wife Zoe Foster Blake and the couple are set to welcome a second baby to their family in a few months.
Probed on the news program about how the couple expects their lives to change once the new member of their family arrives, Zoe, 36, admits: “Probably quite dramatically! It’s been beautiful with the three of us, but I know this will throw things out quite a lot… I’m happy to do that and I’m ready to do it.”
“I’ll have a lot less sleep!” jokes Blake. However the comedian gets serious as he declares how happy he is to be a father. “Before sonny came along like most first-time parents I was selfishly worried about you know- well parts of your life you give up. But it just pails,” he said.
“When Sonny arrived I don’t know I just instantly went, ‘alright if I’m a dad and that’s all I do for the rest of my life, I’ll be wrapped!’” Blake emotionally states.
And he assures he’s got more love to give, “I just expect the same thing to happen to bay number two all over again.”
“I’m just looking forward to falling in love,” Blake adds.
Liz Hayes, host of the Channel Nine news program went on to ask the couple how they determine how much of their family snaps they share social media.
“I mean the simple answer is you share what you want to share and then you probably keep 99.9% private,” said Blake.
