The real question remains, can he get a chair to turn?
The 34-year-old has been keeping a somewhat low profile since he rose to fame on iconic soap, Home And Away as heartthrob Ric Dalby.
Starring on the show from 2004 to 2008, Mark appeared in what is arguably the golden era of the show alongside Chris Hemsworth, Isabel Lucas and Sharni Vinson.
After leaving Summer Bay Mark, starred in Aussie series Underbelly: The Golden Mile and film A Heartbeat Away, before heading to Hollywood to try and make it big.
Unfortunately, as Mark revealed to New Idea, it didn’t quite go to plan for him.
"I haven't worked over here anywhere near as much as I'd have liked to,” he admitted.
"It's a tricky thing realising the world doesn't revolve around you - that's been hard."
But it hasn’t all been bad news. While his TV and film career didn’t take off, Mark’s been finding some success in his musical career forming rock band Shotgun Alley in New Zealand.
Now it seems he’s hoping to take that dream to the next level with a little help from The Voice.
