“Well I’ve never done an upholstery wall before,” said Kristie. “Neither have I,” replied Leigh, but his frustration broke through when his wife told him to relax. “All I keep f**king hearing from you is relax,” he said. “Stop f**king talking to me like this.”
Kristie tried to diffuse the situation and told Leigh: “you tell me what to do because you’re in control of the situation,” but this only antagonised Leigh further. “You’re making a dickhead of yourself the way you’re carrying on,” he said. The tension got the better of Kristie, who broke down in tears outside of the house. “It’s been a shit day,” she said.
Meanwhile, after leaving the competiton in the last episode, David officially returned and told the camera that he was “definitely back in the competition, I never left I just had a moment.” “A very big moment,” said Chiara. But David’s woes didn’t end there; he was again tested when he broke the three-mirrored drawers of his statement piece for the walk in robe. “It just gets me that I fail. I can’t do failure and it just seems like while we’ve been on this competition, this journey together that’s all I’m doing.”
The hits kept on coming when he also cracked another mirror when installing it onto the ceiling of the wardrobe. “Obviously, my luck is running out it’s just cracked. Four mirrors, that’s 28 years’ bad luck, I’m going to be having bad luck until I’m dead,” he said. “Ultimately that could kill us and put us back in the tent and I can’t have that.”
