Mel decided to go shopping to escape the scrutiny on the work site, but she ran into Chiara at the shops. Chiara wanted to know why Mel and Dave didn’t just tell the truth about the tent. “Dave didn’t want the bonus room and if we held off they might sympathise with the fact we were in the tent and steer it someone else’s way,” said Mel. Chiara was not to happy with that answer, telling the camera, “Mel and Dave have really played this strategically, the reason they didn’t want to say this is they didn’t want the bonus room. So, to me that’s strategic, if it was me and I wasn’t in the tent I would have told people, regardless of the bonus room or not.”
The boys decided to take the punishment into their own hands and chucked Dave into the pool as payback. But, Dave wasn’t all that phased by his spontaneous dip. “The pool’s bigger at my hotel, boys.”
Meanwhile, the teams scrambled to find their Statement Piece as Kim and Michelle’s judgment was looming and this week’s winners were Chiara and David. The hotheaded couple have four massive rooms to complete, so winning painters to paint their zone was a huge relief for them. “Thank god for that I was stressing we’ve got so much painting having four rooms,” said Chiara.
