House Rules’ Chiara and David go from the tent to the top of the leaderboard
Chiara and David didn’t have the best week on House Rules. The week started off with an argument with Leigh and Kristie, then midway through the couple turned on each other and David smashing four mirrors was the cherry on top of a pretty dismal time for team WA. But, the hard work finally paid off and the judges awarded the married couple a 23 out of 30 for their zone in Josh and Brandon’s Queensland home, which took them from the bottom of the scoreboard to the very top. “I’m feeling like I’m finally showing these guys why we’re here,” said David.
All three judges were blown away by Chiara and David’s work on the walk in robe and bathroom, specifically the GT striped tiles in the bathroom, which LLB called “really exciting.” “We’re dealing with a team here who are happy to break the mould,” said LLB. Overall, Wendy scored the team a eight, as did Drew and LLB gave them a seven.
While the other teams applauded Chiara and David’s score, Leigh and Kristie weren’t too happy that they received an 18 out of 30 in comparison. Leigh felt that their decisions were superior, saying “I just feel when we build an upholstered wall from scratch and people can just put a set of orange thongs…” Kristie continued, “And get a better mark.”
Chiara and David might be celebrating now, but Josh and Brandon’s scoring of their home could completely change the game.
Don't miss Josh and Brandon's reaction to their newly renovated home on Monday, May 28 at 7:30pm on Seven.
