The family member told Megan that Irena reached a low weight of 45kg during her time in the mansion.
“[Irena] only weighed about 45kg and it was really affecting her. She was really self conscious about how she looked.
“Bella then made a couple of remarks about Irena’s weight and this was obviously a trigger for Irena. She got really upset about it.”
Irene is yet to publicly comment on the drama.
Fans are convinced Irena is the woman who steals Locky’s heart in the end, but Channel 10 has confirmed the former Survivor star falls in love with not one, but two women this season.
In a shock teaser trailer that aired before the show premiered, Ten described the tense finale as "an ending you won't believe."
"It shouldn't be this way, but it is. I'm in love with both of them," Locky laments in the jaw-dropping clip.
"It's ripping me apart. Like, you don't break up with someone that you love."
In vision from the final rose ceremony, where Locky makes his final decision, he is seen breaking down in tears over his agonising choice, yelling, "F--king hell" on camera.
As for speculation Locky and his winner have split up since the finale, Channel 10 officially put the breakup rumours to bed last week, confirming Locky and his winner are indeed still together.
“Locky and his chosen lady are still together and very happy,” a spokeswoman told The Daily Telegraph on Thursday.
Bella has been photographed hanging out in Sydney’s Bondi with intruder Bec Cvilikas, leading fans to believe none of them win the show.
It’s also rumoured the pair are living together in the popular beachside suburb.
