After struggling to live on Sean’s farm in rural Queensland, Perth local Susan explained in the commitment ceremony she would struggle with the move interstate, and that she wants to be just friends.
“I feel like you can be my soulmate,” she said to Sean. “We can be in each others lives as support. And completely love each other. And not have to try make one person give up everything that is their happiness.”
However in a surprise twist, the 37-year-old then revealed she wanted to stay in the marriage.
“We committed ourselves to the experiment, to each other. We weren’t needing to go anywhere to go home for anything because we committed ourselves to the whole time,” she explained.
The pair have another round of home stays before their next commitment ceremony, where they will decide whether to continue with the experiment.
