Based on the real life story of writer and director Abe Forsythe, Wolf Like Me follows the story of a 40-something single parent.
Josh plays Gary, a character who’s described as an “emotional wreck and struggles to provide for his daughter since the death of his wife,” while Isla plays a woman with “a secret she can’t herself to share with anyone.” As the two meet and fall in love, they soon learn that they were brought together for a reason, they just need to follow the signs to find out why.
“Wolf Like Me is a very meaningful project for me,” Abe said in a statement from Stan. “The stakes are extremely high but grounded by things we can all relate to.”

“I’m so excited to have Isla and Josh on board and I know the audience will be surprised seeing them in a different way as these characters.”
Isla has yet to publicly comment on her new project but did wow fans earlier this week when she and Oscar-nominated partner Sacha Baron Cohen stunned the Oscars red carpet at a special screening in Sydney.
Last year, Isla and Sacha moved from LA to Sydney with their children Olive, Elula, and Montgomery. According to a source close to the couple, via Emerald City, “they didn’t want to raise their kids in Trump’s America.”
The Stan Original Series Wolf Like Me begins production in Australia soon, with more details to be announced at a later date.
