To say Jake's fans and followers were delighted by the risque photo is a bit of an understatement.
"You know we are all going to screen shot and brighten the photo in photoshop," one mused.
"Wow now that’s what u call a birthday suit," remarked another.
"A birthday gift to us all," a third stated.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the photo was the same one Jake uploaded for his last birthday and that it was taken back when he and on-off girlfriend Megan Marx were dating.
After his second time starring on Bachelor in Paradise for its third season, the 35-year-old who first found fame on Georgia Love's season of The Bachelorette admitted that he knew his heart was still with Megan and he left the show.
"I’m a great believer in the [Bachelor] format – it’s worked for me already and the show has worked for lots of other people," he told WHO shortly after he walked from the show last year.
"But as soon as I got to Fiji, it didn’t feel right. Nowadays, a lot of the contenders are playing a strategic game to stay on TV. Friendship roses are given out just to keep people there. Call it corny, but for me, every rose I’ve ever given or received has meant something."
He may be single, but Jake isn't afraid to poke a little fun at himself.
Back in March, the reality TV star shared an image originally posted by The Bachelorette casting team advertising for eligible suitors for the show's seventh season.
In the image, the franchise's most famous faces Lee Elliott and Matty "J" Johnson can be seen but Jake's face has been super-imposed with a question mark on top.
"Moral of the story - If applying to be on The Bachelorette.... ‘Don’t be like Jake, be like @leeroyelliott & @matthewdavidjohnson.’ LOL 🥀😂
#thanks #feels," he joked in the caption.
