James Corden will host the 2017 Grammy Awards
He’s had some of music’s biggest names in his car for Carpool Karaoke — like Adele, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Madonna, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Justin Bieber.
And now, he’ll be there on music’s biggest night!
James Corden will host February’s 59th annual Grammy Awards — taking over the hosting duties from L.L. Cool J, who has been the master of ceremonies for the past five telecasts.
“I am truly honoured to be hosting The Grammys next year,” the 38-year-old Late Late Show star said in a statement.
“It’s the biggest, most prestigious award show in music and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an incredible night.”
Corden previously hosted the 2016 Tony Awards in June.
“James Corden is a captivating host, and I have no doubt that his musical background, personal charm, and comedic instincts will resonate with our audience,” said Executive Producer of the Grammy Awards Ken Ehrlich in a press release.
The 2017 Grammy Awards will air from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 12.
