So who on earth is that man in the trailer?
His name is Glenn Smith and you might remember him briefly appearing on Angie Kent's season of The Bachelorette. Despite being handed half a dozen roses from the former Gogglebox star, the 31-year-old mechanic received very little airtime.
Last week, Channel 10 revealed the main five unlucky-in-love cast members who are hoping to find 'the one' on Bachelor In Paradise.
As we all expected, Abbie Chatfield— who was left heartbroken on Matt Agnew's season of The Bachelor— is trying her hand at love again and already has her sights on Ciarran Stott— the affable larrikin who was left devastated when Angie chose Carlin Stott instead.
Thankfully, the Brit will have someone to confide in with his close friends Timm Hanly and Jamie Doran joining the cast.
Brittany Hockley from Nick Cummins' disastrous season of The Bachelor is also heading to paradise with fellow Bachie stars Helena Sauzier, Mary Viturino, Jessica Brody, Brittney Weldon and Cassandra Mamone in tow.
As for when the series is set to hit our screens, Daniel Monaghan— who is Head of Programming at the network— said the show will kick off sooner than we thought! He says it'll be "before Easter", but deliberately after Married at First Sight wraps up, which is expected for early April.
"We'll be clear of each other and there's no point splitting the audience," he told TV Tonight in January.
With Easter falling this year on Apr. 12, and past seasons having started in late March/early April, it sounds like BiP will screen sooner rather than later. And if it has the same schedule as last year, we can expect to watch the show two nights a week.
Talking to the TV Blackbox podcast in December 2019, the Channel 10 boss said that while we can expect a lot of drama to ensue, there will be a few contestants who eventually leave the show with a significant other.
"We're really comfortable with how that's landed and the love that's come out of it, at the end," he said. "You know, we love the drama, but to have love at the end of it as well is really refreshing."
