Lopez’s new album is due out in 2017, her rep confirmed to WHO on Thursday. Anthony will executive produce the album, and the first single is scheduled to hit airwaves in November, according to Billboard, who first reported the news.
The two have remained friendly since their divorce and shared the stage in New York City earlier this summer.
Lopez’s upcoming album is her first all-Spanish offering since 2007’s Como Ama Una Mujer, which was also co-produced by Anthony.
In a statement to Billboard, the 47-year-old singer expressed her thrill for the new musical collaboration.
“I am so excited and really looking forward to this new musical journey and to celebrate my Latin roots with Marc Anthony and the Sony/Magnus family,” the statement read.
Despite stating her desire to celebrate her heritage, Lopez has worked with several high-profile Latin artists, including Pitbull, Prince Royce, Lin-Manuel Miranda and ex-husband Marc Anthony.
