Jose continued, “Alex Rodriguez stop being a piece of s*** stop cheating on Jennifer Lopez. Alex Rodriguez I challenge you to a boxing match or an MMA match anytime you want.”
The former sports star even publicly tweeted his phone number, writing, “@JLo if you want the truth about Alex Rodriguez call me.”
However, a source close to Alex has slammed Jose’s claims, Us Weekly, “Jose doesn’t know what he’s talking about. His tweets aren’t true.”
It appears Jose and Alex have a long-running feud.
In his 2008 book, Vindicated, Jose alleged that he “introduced Alex to a known supplier of steroids” and also claimed that A-Rod was interested in Jessica, now 46, in the late 1990s.
The shock cheating allegations follow on from J.Lo and Alex’s engagement announcement on March 10, with the delighted couple taking to Instagram to share the happy news and show off the singer’s dazzling diamond ring.
In the past, the couple who have been dating for two years have spoken about having a strong connection and blending their families together as Lopez, shares 10-year-old twins Max and Emme with former husband, Marc Anthony and Rodriguez shares two children 14-year-old Natasha and 10-year-old Ella with his former spouse.
"Kids are so beautiful and open to love and new friends. I was so loving to his kids and he was so loving and accepting of mine, and they embraced each other right away. [It was] 'I get a new bonus brother and sisters to hang out with all the time and it's nice,'" Jennifer recently told PEOPLE magazine.
Lopez was previously married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003 and Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014.
She was also famously engaged to Ben Affleck. The couple, dubbed 'Bennifer', announced their split in January 2004 after two years together.
