JLo recently spoke with leading actresses Kerry Washington, Kirsten Dunst and Sarah Paulson about her feelings of inferiority on set.
“We're not allowed to have certain opinions or even be passionate about something, or they'll be like, "God, she's really difficult." It's like, "Am I? Am I difficult because I care?" said Jennifer in The Hollywood Reporter.
Lopez has become one of the most in-demand performers in the entertainment industry, serving as a judge on American Idol, taking up a residency in Vegas and earning a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of the lead character in Selena.
“I got a moniker of being "the diva," which I never felt I deserved — which I don't deserve — because I've always been a hard worker, on time, doing what I'm supposed to do, and getting that label because you reach a certain amount of success.”
In 2014 the multi-talented artist was awarded the Billboard Music Icon Award after ruling the charts in three different decades.
Since having children, Jennifer noticed a marked difference in her approach to acting roles. “You're like, "I'll be naked, but you know you'll never see a tit."
Twins Max and Emme were born in 2008. Jennifer co-parents them with ex-husband Marc Anthony. The couple divorced in 2011 after 7 years of marriage.
This year the entertainment veteran will see her second season of NBC crime drama Shades of Blue go to air as well as perform a residency show at Planet Hollywood in Los Vegas titled, “All I Have”. Jennifer also released her first single since returning to Epic records, “Ain’t Your Mama”.
