“I had that instant bonded connection with [Tullulah], which was just this overwhelming feeling of... I just can't even explain it, there is no better feeling in the world. But then reality sets in, the sleep deprivation sets in,” the 29-year-old explained.
“I had really bad anxiety those first 12 weeks... just so worried about what I was doing right and what I was doing wrong.”
She added: “'I just wanted to do the best for Tullulah every single day, and I think the pressure I put on myself was way too much.”
Although she reflected on that time as being “joyful” and “blissful,” Jesinta admitted it was also “confusing,” “emotional” and “chaotic.”
“It was every single emotional at once,” she said before touching on how tough it was being pregnant in the public eye.
“It was difficult in my pregnancy just knowing that there were photographers out the front of my house all the time,” she said.
“I didn’t care about the changes happening to my body, but just not feeling good in my pregnancy - as in not feeling well - and not overly enjoying the experience. And then knowing there was paparazzi out the front…”
“Some days I wouldn’t leave because the thought of even putting on lip balm…,” she laughed. “And tying my hair back and trying to look half decent. But then I just got over it because I thought you know what? We see so many beautiful photos of women when they’re pregnant and not enough of the ones that are like I’ve just rolled out of bed or gone to the shops.”
She continued: “I think that’s so important as women and especially in this age of social media where things can look so glossy and glowy all the time just to be real and open and honest with each other.”
Jesinta confirmed she was expecting for the second time in October during an Instagram live session with Vida Glow founder Anna Lahey.
"It was a very big surprise for us. Tullulah will be getting a sibling at the end of March next year so she will have just turned one," she explained.
''I'll have a 13-month and a newborn, which was very daunting at first."
It took four years for Jesinta to fall pregnant with Tullulah but she and husband Buddy found out that they were expecting just a week after Sydney Swans star Buddy travelled up to Queensland to be in the AFL hub.
"It was very hard to conceive the first time with Tullulah, and for this [pregnancy] to be such an unplanned surprise is a blessing," she said.
Jesinta and Buddy met in 2012 and tied the knot four years later in a stunning ceremony at Mount Wilson's Wildenstein Gardens in the Blue Mountains, NSW.
The rock-solid couple's bond has only strengthened since they started expanding their family.
Writing for the Sydney Swans website back in June, new dad Buddy wrote: "I appreciate my mother and all women, but the appreciation of seeing exactly what mothers do do, day in day out ... my appreciation for them is just through the roof, and especially my wife."
