Jessica Simpson may be fashion designer and businesswoman these days, but the singer appears to be reminiscing on her times in the spotlight as a teenage pop star!
Taking to Instagram, the 35-year-old shared a nostalgic throwback video of her performance at the American Music Awards 15 years ago.
Typical to the naughties fashion, Simpson is dressed in a tied-up white shirt and white pants as she sings her 1999 ballad “I Wanna Love You Forever” from her debut album, Sweet Kisses.
That same year, the pop star was nominated for Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist, however she lost out to 3 Doors Down.
While she did not attend this year's Award's show, she did hint at a possible return to the music industry by captioning the video, "Throwing it back to 2001 #AMA
Bring it 2017."
Fans were last treated to music by the star with her album Happy Christmas in 2010, and her most recent non-holiday album was her 2008 record titled Do You Know.
Over the past 6 years, she’s been focusing her efforts on her successful Jessica Simpson Collection fashion and accessories brand, as well as raising her two children, Maxwell, 4, and Ace, 3,with her husband, Eric Johnson.
