The divorce battle continues between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, as the unfriendly exes fight it out over $140,000 in legal costs.
In new court documents filed by Depp’s lawyer Laura Wasser, the Hollywood actor wants to be allowed to deduct the owing amount from his next settlement payment to the 30-year-old actress.
Already Depp has incurred over $US1m in legal fees over the course of the bitter battle.
During proceedings, Wasser has also questioned Heard’s behavior, saying that she has been acting “erractically” and “uncooperatively” throughout the case.
However the actress’ legal team has claimed that Depp has failed to pay agreed upon installments of their $US7M divorce settlement.
A claim, Wasser vehemently denies
“The impact of her [Heard’s] relentless pursuit on Johnny — the damage her false allegations have caused his personal and professional reputation, his and his family’s emotional wellbeing, and his finances-appears to be of no interest to Amber,” Wasser stated in the court filing.
