While she's never one to respond to her fans on social media, she hit back, writing: "I mean I been through some sh*t lately LOL.”
She's since deleted the comment.
Unfortunately, that sh*t is set to intensify in the next few months with the new season of The Hills: New Beginnings dropping soon. Brody Jenner— who's the son of Caitlyn Jenner— recently revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that the upcoming season is set to be even more dramatic, with the former couple's split being at the centre of the drama.
According to the reality star, fans can expect to see why their marriage really broke down as the camera follows them in the wake of their seemingly amicable separation.
“I’m sure you’re going to see a lot of that,” the TV personality said referring to their separation. “Of course, you have to stay tuned to see what goes on with that. But you’ll definitely see some of that.”
As for why he chose to be open and honest about their divorce, the 36-year-old said: "The Hills was one of those things where, it’s tough to put yourself out there like that, but ultimately, it can be very therapeutic as well. To put yourself out there and leave yourself open for judgment can also be helpful to your daily life and moving forward in how you grow up. There’s a lot of times you get people that’ll tell you, ‘Don’t do it. It’s a reality show.’ But you gotta be yourself and just do it.”
Brody and his then-wife Kaitlynn revealed in a joint statement in August that they'd called time on their marriage. Days later, his ex-wife was spotted kissing Miley on a girls' trip in Italy.
Before the couple of two month split, the TV personality's co-star Spencer Pratt weighed in on Kaitlynn's whirlwind romance with the "Slide Away" singer, implying that the couple had an "emotional" relationship long before the Miley and her husband of eight months, Liam, decided to call time on their decade long romance.
“It’s tough for me to listen to Kaitlynn complain about people talking about her allegedly open relationship with Brody when we know she had a thing going with Miley," Spencer told Cosmopolitan. "She already had something going on with her when these scenes were filming — maybe not physically, but definitely emotionally," he said, referring No one’s judging you for whatever it is you and Brody do when he’s not sleeping in his car. We just don’t want people to lie about their lives.”
He continued: “Maybe you shouldn’t have gone on television. It’s called a reality show, hon. And the reality is that Brody’s been talking about your sex life on his podcast for years.”
