Tom Gleeson's Gold Logie speech may have been popular with the public, but it certainly didn't gain him any fans amongst his industry peers.
While walking the red carpet at the 61st annual Logie Awards in the Gold Coast, the former Today show host hit out at the Gold Logie winner, labelling Gleeson a '24 karat gold tosser'.

Prior to winning Australia's most coveted award in television, the Hard Quiz host posted a series of tweets and "attack ads" slamming other nominees as part of his effort to win Gold.
The campaign copped a lot of criticism, especially from Grant Denyer who claimed Gleeson was 'taking the p*ss' and ruining the Logies.
Gleeson's acceptance speech didn't do him any favours, either.
“I’m in a tricky spot because I like it and I hate it at the same time," the comedian joked, before launching into a speech that both called out certain audience members (CC: Grant Denyer) and drew our attention to the importance of comedy.
“According to Grant Denyer I’ve ruined the Logies and it's never going to happen again, but at least I won this all by myself."
By far and away the most unimpressed person in the room was Gold Logie's favourite, Amanda Keller.
"Just because all of you want it and I've got it, don't get angry with me," Tom began.
"It's alright, you'll all survive."
Like him or hate him, the man is funny!
