Not only did the Duchess of Cambridge’s appearance at the state banquet at Buckingham Palace give us a chance to gush over her gorgeous gown and dazzling tiara, but it also gave the royal a chance to show off a very special new accessory.
Watch the Duchess of Cambridge arrive at the State Banquet:
The 37-year-old wore a blue, red and white sash across her cream Alexander McQueen dress, which signified her position as a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, the highest ranking of chivalry personally awarded by Queen Elizabeth for being in her service.
This is the first time the mum-of-three has worn the sash in public since being honoured with the title in April.
