The 37-year-old wore a blue, red and white sash across her cream Alexander McQueen dress, which signified her position as a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, the highest ranking of chivalry personally awarded by Queen Elizabeth for being in her service.

This is the first time the mum-of-three has worn the sash in public since being honoured with the title in April.

Prince Andrew and Prince Edward as well as Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall are also fellow Knights and Dames Grand Cross.

The position was created by Queen Victoria in 1896 to allow her to recognise people who helped her or represented her.
