The event – which helps theBritish royal familyherald theQueen Elizabeth'sofficial birthdaycelebrations on Saturday - is held every year ahead of theannual TroopingtheColour Parade(which will take place this year on June 8) and is celebrated with a military parade with some 750 soldiers and a dazzling fireworks display.
This year, 37-year-old Kate even participated in the ceremony by taking this salute, this means thattheDuchess of Cambridgeacknowledged the salute given by the troops.
Wearing a smart cream coat by one of her favourite designers,CatherineWalker & Co, the royal accessorised the look with her Irish Guards gold shamrock brooch.
