After news broke yesterday that the notoriously private couple of six years had called it quits, a source close to Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes has since revealed that they called it quits months ago!
The unexpected news of their separation comes two days after Jamie was spotted holding hands with beautiful young singer Sela Vave, outside a Hollywood nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning. Following the compromising snaps, a source close to the 51-year-old actor and musician told to PEOPLE that Jamie was merely 'helping out' his young protege that night, while 40-year-old Katie was at home in New York.
"She's just a girl he's helping out, a young singer," the source told the publication.
Although the photos have been labelled 'innocent' by some, the pair seem to have a close bond, with the rising star Sela recently dedicating an entire Instagram post to her mentor.
"I am so grateful to this man!," Sela captioned the picture. "Thank you so much @iamjamiefoxx for everything you do and for believing in me. #feelingblessed 🙏🏽"
Katie and Jamie had been together since 2013— nearly a year after she divorced Hollywood actor Tom Cruise. They kept quiet about their romance for years, and finally appeared together in public for the first time at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammys Gala in New York in 2018.
