If you keep up with Katy Perry, you've probably noticed that she hasn't really been herself as of late.
Not only has she taken on a brand new style, she has also adopted a new outlook on life all while promoting her new album Witness.
Her most recent dramatic announcement: calling out all awards shows.
During an interview with The New York Times, she revealed that, "All the awards shows are fake, and all the awards that I've won are fake. They're constructs."
Katy has won herself five American Music Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards, 14 People's Choice awards, and 13 Grammy nominations during her career, so it's a pretty big statement.
As for her "old self" Katy insists that because she a new version of herself, it doesn't mean her old, poppy persona was fake.
"I didn't kill [old Katy], because I love her, and she is exactly what I had to do then. And I'm not a con artist, I didn't con people, like, that was just me. And this is me now."
