"I am so motivated right now because, for me, fitness is my self-care, my time out, and my PASSION. Being able to share my passion with YOU, the #BBGCommunity is helping me to get out of bed every morning (not forgetting my incredible family)!! #comeback."
However, despite receiving praise from many, several of Kayla’s followers were less than impressed by her humble brag.
"I’m sure you’re naive enough to think this is a POSITIVE post, but it's terrible for females who’ve just given birth because 98% of them can’t and won’t look like this. It's irresponsible of you and arrogant," penned one person.
“These kind of pictures are exactly the kind that makes women hate their bodies,” and “I’m worried. You don’t look healthy. I hope you are ok and fine for your baby,” were just some of the other angry messages the influencer, who has over 11 million followers, received.
Earlier on in her postpartum fitness journey, Kayla - who shares her newborn daughter with partner, Tobi Pearce - admitted she was worried about sharing progress updates.
“If I am honest, it is with great trepidation that I share with you this very personal image,” she said on May 8. “Every woman’s journey through life but especially pregnancy, birth and healing post-birth is unique. While each journey has a common thread that connects us as women, our personal experience, our relationship with ourselves and our body will always be our own.”
