It didn't take long for the popular spin-off's alumni to weigh in on social media, with two-time BIP contestant Keira Maguire writing, “Thank god, such a sh*t show.”
This prompted the 29-year-old's co-star Jamie Doran to accuse her of being a hypocrite, pointing out that she'd reportedly earned $50,000 to star in this year's season alone.
“They only paid you 50K, Keira McNuggets! & you have been on it 102567963896 times. What the actual f#ck?!” the ex-Bachelorette star responded.
Jamie's clap-back divided fans and former contestants and immediately ignited a fiery debate in the comments section.
Tara Pavlovic, who appeared alongside Keira in the show in 2018, replied: "You can go on a show and look back at your experience and think it's s**t."
"I know from experience I feel the same way as Keira. No need to slam her."
Still, Jamie continued giving his two-cents.
"She bags it out, but then keeps coming back," he wrote. "I'll keep slamming her whilst she continues with this nonsense."
Some, on the other hand, rushed to Keira's defence. One person even branded Jamie as a "40-year-old trying to be cool."
"Isn't Keira almost 40?" the FIFO worker said in response.
This isn't the first time Keira, who shot to fame while looking to win over Richie Strahan's heart, has found herself the topic of conversation in recent months.
Ahead of her second arrival in Paradise, Keira hit back at critics who claimed she was "predictable" for returning to reality TV once more.
When one person commented on the official BIP Instagram page: "Jumping from reality show to another is just her wanting to get her reassurance that she has not been forgotten by all," Keira replied: "Exactly, how did you know," followed by a kiss face emoji.
The 34-year-old reality star met her ex-boyfriend Jarrod Woodgate on season one of Bachelor in Paradise but the couple split six months before she joined the season three cast.
