Jenner’s bad skin was famously photographed at last year’s awards and the supermodel tells PEOPLE “A lot of people have seen me struggling with acne mostly through paparazzi photos or the Golden Globes,” she said.
“I had exhausted all other options and [decided to] try Proactiv. It really worked for me. I feel great on the inside and out.”
Fans were a little surprised (and some underwhelmed) that Kenny’s big reveal was a skincare partnership after mum-ager Kris Jenner fuelled speculation of a ‘coming out’ post on Twitter with hashtags like “#bethechange”, “#shareyourstory” and #authenticity” and telling the world, “be prepared to be moved”.
Kris also posted another Twitter comment saying: “I’m so proud of my darling @KendallJenner for being so brave and vulnerable. Seeing you share her most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you’ve become.” which also had people thinking the supermodel might finally be opening up a bit more about her anxiety.
Kendall says of the range, “It’s just a very simple and easy routine. I love the cleanser and retinoid acne treatment, and everyone should use a sunscreen,” she adds. “It really helps having it in your regimen every single day.”
Past celebrity Proactiv ambassadors include Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Jessica Simpson.
