An official statement released by Kensington Palace reads: "Ms. Markle has asked his royal highness the Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the Quire of St.George Chapel on their wedding day."
The statement also included an emotional comment which stated: "The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle into The Royal Family this way.
The announcement comes after much speculation as to who would accompany Ms Markle down the aisle on her big day as her father Thomas has bowed out due to being hospitalised for heart surgery.
