After 35 years together, John, 79, passed away from pneumonia following a long struggle with paralysis, the result of a freak fall three years ago.
Friends, family and admirers gathered at All Saints Anglican Church in Woollahra, with devoted Kerri-Anne leading mourners. With the star naturally devastated as she said goodbye to her life partner, the assembled mourners offered kind support to the star, who never ventured far from her husband’s side.

John’s son told the congregation, 'He lived a tremendous life. I love you dearly dad. I am proud to be your son.
'I miss you already'.
Kerri-Anne's Studio 10 friends Sarah Harris, Angela Bishop and Joe Hildebrand were in attendance, as were Richard Wilkins and Deborah Hutton.
