"I obviously want to honour him and what he’s feeling. And he’s been going through this life change, and it’s mostly about the kids," the 39-year-old said during her appearance on The Real.
"We got rid of TVs in the kids’ rooms and removed makeup from North's room – and he’s been very… had this, you know, epiphany of being this— not that he wasn’t an amazing dad— but being a little bit more strict as a dad and being very forceful on the imagery that’s in our household and what they see."
While Kim agreed the drastic changes have been beneficial to her family, she still believes a healthy relationship must include a level of compromise and will continue to parent how she also feels is best for her little ones.
"I think, at the end of the day that’s what marriage is. He’s gonna do things that I don’t agree with, and I support him, and vice versa.
"So, with this, it was like we were like just having this conversation of what is too much and I am a mother of four, like, I am gonna be forty next year, like, when is it time to..." she said before the audience cut her off with a loud applause.
Her comments come three weeks after Kanye had stern words with Kim for letting North wear eyeliner and lipstick in public.
While at a dinner party for the launch of her and supermodel Winnie Harlow's KKW x WINNIE collaboration, Kim opened up about their tiff, revealing that although she's always been a big supporter of their daughter experimenting with different looks, Kanye's since put a stop to it!
“I’d let her wear — you know, she has a little red for Christmas — I’d let her wear a red lip, or I’d let her do one pop of something,” she explained. “I’d let her, if she’s wearing a black dress, a black lip."
She continued: "So, I kind of got in trouble for that. So, it’s now no more makeup.”
