"But they can hit other people when they are angry and frustrated?" a fan questioned in response.
"They’re children and she was clearly hurting inside so hurting her physically is not going to make anything better," said Kourtney who later admitted to being "shocked" by some people's strong responses.
"How do we not know better by now?!"
Another fan chimed in, writing: "Kids don't usually listen to words they listen to actions," to which Kourtney replied that "in no way is physical harm OK for us."
"So you think physical harm is the only action? That’s sad," she wrote. "Of course there are many consequences which we dealt with, I am very proud of my kids and being a parent isn’t always easy, but we do have consequences that don’t involve physical harm."
Kourtney isn't the only Kardashian who has come under fire for her controversial parenting methods. Earlier this month, her sister Kim was savagely trolled for allowing her six-year-old daughter, North West, wear a large pair of hoop earrings. Like always, the mum-shamers were rather harsh and didn't hold back from making their opinion heard!
"Kim dress your kid according to her age. This is sooo not ok. Hoops seriously?" another added.
"So cute but my daughter WOULD NEVER be wearing those big hoop earring at such a young age... Come on mama keep your baby girl humble. Some beautiful diamond studs fit so much better on a young girl," another chimed in.
Although the majority of the comments about her hoops were negative, a few brave users defended the KKW Beauty founder, telling everyone to mind their own business!
“People hate so much that North is wearing hoops. Like are you the mother? No. Let Kim decide what she can and can’t wear,” she wrote. “North is her daughter anyway. She looks super cute and sassy!"
Another said: "Yall really will come for her regardless of what she does. Like you didn’t play dress-up with earrings when you were little," said another Instagrammer, rushing to her defence.
