Rumours still abound that the pair will hold a big family wedding in Italy soon, which their children will likely attend, but unlike their 2am Vegas wedding, this one in Santa Barbara seems to be legally binding.
It could have also been a compromise for the pair, given Kourtney had voiced her wish for a small wedding with her and Travis alone.
Their engagement was shown on a recent episode of The Kardashians, where Kourtney confirmed to her sisters that she wanted no one else there when she eventually wed her boyfriend.
However, there was also drama on the show when Kourtney’s three children – Mason, Penelope, and Reign, were excluded from the engagement celebrations. So, a third ceremony would make sense to ensure their inclusion.
According to the latest season of the show, Kourtney hooked up with the Blink-182 drummer for the first time in 2020, and took their PDA-packed romance public in early 2021.
Their inability to stop touching and making out is a constant joke on the show, with the pair often spotted off in secluded corners.
“We all love it,” Kourtney’s sister, Khloé Kardashian, said when the media asked her what it's like to see Kourtney so happy in her relationship.
“This is her time to shine baby!”
Fans of the couple are also watching their IVF journey play out on screen as the two try to have a baby of their own.
However, they now have their own high-profile Brady Bunch thing going, with Kourtney’s three children becoming step-siblings to Travis’s children, Alabama Luella Barker and Landon Asher Barker, as well as his step-daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, for whom he remains strong father figure.
Congrats to Kourtney and Travis!
