“Kim leads the pack, and she’s the queen of thick skin. She counsels everybody else,” Jenner recently admitted during The Hollywood Reporter‘s reality TV roundtable about 36-year-old Kardashian West. “So if something happens in the family, she’s the first one you call. ‘What should I do? How should I handle this?’ ”
Since the show’s inception, audiences have watched Jenner both add and embody a new title to her already extensive list of roles: grandma. Now that she has six additional little loved ones — Mason, Penelope and Reign Disick, North and Saint West, and Dream Kardashian — to look out for, she wants to protect them from the bullying that she has witnessed — and been victim to.
“It’s my grandchildren who I worry about because I have six of them; the oldest just turned 7, and my youngest is 6 months old, and they don’t have a choice,” said Jenner. “And I worry, I do, because it is such a bullying environment.”
But it’s Jenner’s love for her grandbabies that pushes her to want to protect them from the critics.
“I enjoy being with the kids,” a smiling Jenner New You Media last May. “I think that’s why I had so many kids to begin with, is that I enjoy it — I truly enjoy it.”
“Now it’s nice because you can play with them and like they say, give them back,” she said, and added, “You know, after the weekend’s over, ‘Here you go, Kourtney! Here you go, Kim! See ya!’ “
