The late 2000's iconic television show which shot Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Penn Badgley to fame, will be made into an updated version of the series, which was originally a book written by author Cecily von Ziegesar.
Deadline reported in July that the reimagined show will stream on HBO Max, which has already ordered 10 hour-long episodes!
The reboot will take place eight years after Dan Humphrey shut down his controversial website and revealed himself to be Gossip Girl
"The prestige series will address just how much social media - and the landscape of New York itself - has changed in the intervening years," read the press release.
The Gossip Girl reboot will be written by original show creator Joshua Safran, producer of Quantico.
