While Twitter is still lit with hilarious memes about her low key decent pipes and Stormi's adorable reaction, some people are upset she's profiting off the unexpected hype, seeing as the phrase already existed.
“I just trademarked Good Morning," one Twitter troll wrote.
"This shouldn’t be granted. I feel like this is like the phrase ‘Happy Birthday,’” a different user wrote while another added, “Someone needs to stop them or soon they’ll trademark Sun and Earth.”
"The moment Kylie Jenner started to trademark and sell rise & shine is when the joke/meme died," another quipped.
While some defended Kylie, admitting she's clever to jump on the bandwagon, on the other end of the spectrum, many people called her a "narcissist" claiming the makeup mogul is "greedy".
"Omg seriously.....Kylie Jenner is trying to trademark "Rise and Shine" why does this family think they need to own everything!!!"
This all started earlier this month when Kylie posted a video to her YouTube channel in which she gave fans a tour of her Kylie Cosmetics office. After showing off her glam room, meeting rooms, photoshoot area and insane champaign vending machine, Kylie took us into her daughter's playroom where she often naps.
"We're gonna wake Stormi up and get out of here, and show you guys her room," she says in the video moments before entering her room and crooning the now-classic "Rise and Shine."
