Lamar Odom is retuning to reality television.
The former Los Angeles Lakers star and ex-husband of Khloé Kardashian has made a deal to star in a new reality series, a source tells PEOPLE.
“The show will be about his life, recovery — all about him,” the source said.
Odom's new show, which is yet to be filmed, will air in 2017. The star regularly appeared on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
This week, Odom, 37, checked into a rehabilitation centre on his own accord.
"Lamar checked into rehab a week ago. He plans to stay for 30 days. It’s a substance abuse program, but he was not abusing drugs when he went in. He is clean. This is a precautionary measure,” an insider told PEOPLE.
“He wants to stay clear and focused. With the divorce from Khloé being finalized and the holidays coming up, he doesn’t want to slip up. He’s trying to take care of himself. He really wants to be better,” the source continued.
A year after filing for divorce, Lamar Odom and Khloé Kardashian will officially be single on December 17.
