Several pointed out the hotel is The Urban Newtown, which is rated as a 4-star hotel. It’s supposed to be grunge-chic.
In Worthington’s tweet, the chair does not have a cushion and the curtains have been pulled closed, which makes the room look smaller and dark.

A number of people took issue with Lara's complaint.
"Seriously?? So maybe she should have come home earlier. I have no sympathy - there was no guarantee of 5 star accommodation. You take what you get and just because she’s your mom doesn’t mean she is entitled to 5 star service," one said.

Others said Worthington’s mum should look on the bright side and be grateful she is Australian and is now home.
