Following on from its UK success, LEGO Masters Australia will see eight pairs of passionate creators let loose on The Brick Pit, where 2.5 million LEGO bricks await, ready to build mind-blowing models and masterpieces that must be seen to be believed.
It's safe to say contestants need to be passionate about LEGO to go on the show, and Dinushi and Gayan love LEGO so much, they even started a food truck business together to fund their addiction!
Here's everything you need to know about Dinushi and Gayan.
Emigrating to Melbourne from Sri Lanka in the early 2000s to study, Dinushi, 36, and Gayan, 34, became friends in their new home town through Gayan’s brother and their university circle.
After both loving LEGO as kids, when Gayan gave Dinushi a $10 set for her birthday in 2014 her passion for the brick was reignited. She estimates that she owns around 350 sets in total.

Survey programmer Dinushi is mum to two daughters (aged two and six) and says building is her “happy place”, loving the sense of achievement that comes with finishing a build.
Graphic designer Gayan is dad to a five-year-old son and says LEGO has played a huge role in his life since he himself was five, and credits his hobby with getting him through some tough times by making him feel calm and relaxed, having a therapeutic effect.
Self-confessed LEGO addicts, the pair have a unique way of funding their habit: They set up a Sri Lankan food truck business in 2016, using the profits to buy more LEGO and fuel their passion.
Both nominate their favourite LEGO piece as SNOTs – the bricks you can make various shapes with and build in different directions.
Friendly and fun with infectious laughter, Dinushi and Gayan are ones to watch out for in the quest for the LEGO MASTERS Australia title and trophy.
