If you know me, you know that I have a very regimented skin care routine. I take skin care very seriously, and as a result, I am happy to pay top dollar for a product that I think will benefit my complexion. Despite this, in recent months I have noticed that my skin has become dry and flakey (perhaps due to the change in weather) and decided it was time to change up my core products.
Last month, I received an email asking if I would try out some Sisley Paris skincare products. No stranger to the luxury brand, I have used a few of their products in the past, however, this time I rejigged my entire skincare routine so that it was based around the three products I was testing.
Before I give my final thoughts, I want to acknowledge that yes, these products are pricey. Perhaps to some, they’re overpriced, however, a little bit goes a long way and in my opinion, they’re worth every cent! The key is to use these products sparingly and consistently.
Sisley Hydra-Global Serum, 30ml RRP $310
The cooling sensation you feel when you apply this serum to your skin is one of the most exciting things about this product. Saturated with “smart” active ingredients, it’s supposed to teach your skin how to automatically rehydrate itself from within, and that’s certainly the case. I applied one pump of the gel to my face and neck before bed every night. After a month of using the product, I noticed my skin felt plumper and less dehydrated. The texture on my chin slowly lessened and I found my skin wasn’t as flakey or dry. In my opinion, the serum works best when it’s combined with the ecological moisturiser.
Sisley Express Flower Gel Mask, 60ml RRP $160
A fresh, moisturising and toning cream-gel mask specifically designed for dehydrated, lifeless or tired-looking skin, I applied the gel mask consistently twice a week. While it says you can wipe off the excess after a few minutes, if you have dry skin, I recommend leaving the mask on overnight as it contains a high concentration of hydrating ingredients like extracts of Lily and extracts of Sesame. It’s not a heavy or overly thick mask so leaving it on overnight won’t make your skin feel oily. It truly does make your skin feel less texturised and more hydrated.
Ecological Compound, 60ml RRP $175
It’s pretty clear why this moisturiser is one of their best sellers! Yes, it’s expensive, but like all of Sisley’s products, a little bit goes a long way. The formula restores skin functions whilst supplying just the right dosage of elements needed for the skin to regain its natural balance. Unlike other moisturisers I’ve tried, this one doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily or greasy. It’s helped rehydrate areas where I am prone to dryness and also has ingredients that promote the production of collagen, leaving your face feeling firmer and more supple.
All in all, I definitely give these products a big tick of approval! As they’re quite expensive, I recommend asking for a sample of the products and testing them out on your skin before you buy them. To get the best results, I recommend using products daily.
