Even for It Girl models with private jet access (including Kendall Jenner, Taylor Hill and Bella Hadid), there’s no such thing as a get-out-of-jail-free card when it comes to jet lag, or the dark circles that come with it. But once you’ve made about a zillion round-the-world trips, you become pretty good at hiding the effects — that’s why supermodels look so fabulous stepping off the jet bridge. (Well, that and a change of clothes.)
Luckily, Hadid, who announced her beauty partnership with Dior in Vogue’s September issue, just shared her secrets in a video for the magazine. And since she looks like she just woke up from a full 12 hours of beauty sleep, we think it’s safe to steal these tricks for your next long flight.
1. Concealer does way more than just hiding dark circles.
She may have been traveling for two months straight, but Hadid isn’t fazed by it — because she’s armed with concealer. The model dabs it under her eyes before blending it with a Beauty Blender, and then goes on to apply it all over her face. “Just wing it, you know? Just put it, like, everywhere.”
2. Contouring doesn’t have to be complicated — and it’s not just for the KarJenners anymore.
Using Dior’s contour stick, Hadid defines her cheekbones and jaw line by applying a thin brown stripe right under the bone and blending it in — a process that takes her seconds to complete, and looks totally foolproof.
3. Yes, you’re still allowed to apply eyeshadow with your fingers — bonus points if it’s a gold, shimmery shade.
After applying mascara, Hadid dabs her middle finger into a gold metallic shade, and smears it on her eyelids before applying it in her inner corners to “open your eyes a little bit.”
So the next time you find yourself fresh off a plane with a runway to walk in mere moments, just ask yourself: What Would Bella Do?
