In a global initiative, COVERGIRL beauty has partnered with Cruelty Free International to try and put an end to animal testing on makeup.
The international makeup brand has been given the ultimate recognition, the ‘Leaping Bunny Certification’ which means that after a strict audit of the brand’s supply chain and ingredients, Cruelty Free International and Leaping Bunny certifies that COVERGIRL products and ingredients are not tested on animals and now COVERGIRL is the largest makeup brand to be awarded this certification (insert 10 clapping emoji’s).
The LBC program is “is the most comprehensive worldwide cruelty free standard” according to Coty’s official press release and “Leaping Bunny certification is the only globally recognized program that requires regular independent supply chain audits to ensure continued compliance.”
COTY’s also expresses: “Listening to our consumers, we started this journey with COVERGIRL to demonstrate our commitment to this issue by achieving such an ambitious certification at scale. This is consistent with our ambition of growing responsibly by championing open, inclusive and sustainable beauty.” They go further to say “Being cruelty free and achieving the Leaping Bunny certification for COVERGIRL is the right thing to do, at the right time, in the right way”
YES to more sustainable beauty!
This certification is an internationally-recognised gold standard for cruelty-free designation. Congrats COVERGIRL!
