Add volume and curl with the push of a button

VS Sassoon Unbound Cord Cordless

$189.99 at Myer

I have to say that even as a beauty editor who knows a thing or two about hair tools, ones like this used to scare me a bit. However, with new advancements and design, I was so pleasantly surprised by this device!

One, because it didn’t suck my hair into a dreadlock as I’d fretted it would. Two, it was so light and easy to use, and three, the cordless nature of this made it so convenient to use it wherever I wanted or needed.

Oh, and on the cordless function, you can enjoy 60 minutes of styling freedom, creating soft and shiny curls without any damage thanks to it’s four heat settings for all hair types and texture that you want to create.

Khloe Kardashian Hailey Bieber Elise Wilson Priscilla Valles Hair Extensions
Look like a celeb with these hair extensions

Priscilla Valles Hair Extensions

(POA), at Judana Hair

If, like me, your locks look dull, flat, and a bit lifeless at the best of times, it might be time to consider hair extensions. Hear me out though, because for some, this concept seems very out of touch—especially for us low-maintenance girls who regard simply washing out hair as ‘effort’—but we have options now.

If you haven’t heard of Priscilla Valles (I won’t judge, but she’s pretty big news in the hair world), she’s basically the guru/expert/messiah/of A-list hair extensions in Hollywood. Think Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, Rihanna and Megan Fox to name just a few, with the brand achieving global recognition as the go-to for achieving luscious, thick, and glam locks that are gentle on your hair.

Well, I can now report that they have launched in Australia and New Zealand, and last week I booked in at Judena hair in Sydney, who are exclusively stocking the brand, for a full consultation to help transform my look. There’s a choice of tape-ins, keratin bonds, hair halos and clip-ins (which I went with) to suit your budget and lifestyle. Yay to a good hair day, every day.

LAMAV Self Tan Mist
Faking a glow is far healthier

03

LAMAV Self Tan Mist

$39 at La Mav

Remember when a fake tan used to just be a fake tan? No neither. Nowadays, new launches like this tanning mist have skin-loving ingredients AND extra wellness benefits like bioactive magnesium, which promotes relaxation and aids in collagen production in the skin. It develops in just four hours and is enriched with nourishing oils and green tea extract for enhanced hydration.

SKOOP Skincare Anti-Chafe Balm and Hand Hero, Sweat Absorbent Moisturiser
Your sweat-proof summer must-have

04

SKOOP Skincare Anti-Chafe Balm and Hand Hero, Sweat Absorbent Moisturiser

from $29.95 at Skoop Skincare

How annoying is sweating? In most cases, very annoying; in other cases extremely inconvenient. So, when this brand landed on my desk I was instantly intrigued, because summer is coming and I do not have the time for clammy palms and chafing.

The packaging is also chic and discreet, housed in handy tins to chuck in your gym bag, or any bag for that matter, when the dreaded sweat starts.

The Anti-Chafe Balm has a pleasant combo of coconut, kakadu plum, and aloe vera and leaves a soft, dry powder finish. I’ve also never seen an anti-sweat hand moisturiser before, but you can also use this one under your boobs and on the back of your neck if needed too. All the products are only lightly scented, aluminium-free, and dry to the touch too.

NARS Light Reflecting Makeup Setting Spray and Hydrating Primer
For a flawless makeup finish al day long

NARS Light Reflecting Makeup Setting Spray and Hydrating Primer

from $66 at Mecca

If a makeup product promises to make my skin glow and helps my whole look last a full day and night, you bet I’ll be trying it. I really like that this skin-enhancing mist from Nars sets, hydrates, and protects all in one step. It has an invisible Lock Technology which doesn’t unsettle your makeup look either or let it fade throughout the day.

BYD Sealion 6
Now you can plug your beauty tools into the car!

06

BYD Sealion 6

from $48,990, at BYD Australia

Look, I am aware this is not a beauty product, however it does in fact have some very convenient beauty functionalities… the best one being that you can plug in, charge and use your hair tools IN THE CAR!

Yes I am a beauty editor (and addict), but I don’t think this just applies to me either, because surely this is a gamechanger for every time-poor human?

This is BYD’s first plug-in hybrid to be released in the Australian market and, with its pioneering DM-i (Dual-Mode intelligent) technology, it sets a new benchmark for energy efficiency.

Basically, it also has a vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, which allows it to transform into a mobile power source – meaning you use any of your household electric devices by plugging them in directly. So to me, that means my hairdryer, achieving the perfect blowout from the comfort of the car. How convenient.

LéCil Instant Manicure
Try stick on nails for a quick glam-up.

07

LéCil Instant Manicure

$59.95 Lecil

In a fast-paced world who on earth has time to sit and watch paint dry, especially on our nails? I’ve been an advocate for stick on mani’s since they boomed in 2021 when everyone was starting to DIY their beauty regimes at home.

Australian brands like LéCil have really hit the nail on the head though (pun intended), with a broad range of stick-on nails in every shape, colour and design, as well as an amazing selection of false eyelashes too.

If you’re a bit scared of applying glue to your natural nails, these have self-adhesives tabs you can use instead that are so strong and last days. The packs come with a manicure remover gel so there’s no residue left over or damage caused.
