With a perfectly wispy fringe and 90s-inspired blow-out, social media has become obsessed with the Espresso singer’s romantic, windswept locks, with many taking the plunge to recreate the classic cut at home.

As anyone with bangs knows, mastering the technique for a perfect swoop can take lots of trial and error. Fortunately, WHO sat down with Shark Beauty ambassador Chris Hunter to get his expert advice on how to perfect Sabrina Carpenter’s bangs at home.

How does Sabrina Carpenter style her bangs?

After countless stage performances in heat, wind, and rain, Sabrina Carpenter’s curtain bangs somehow remain perfectly in place.

While it may appear to be some kind of hair care wizardry, Chris tells WHO that mastering her silky smooth blow-out comes down to hair dampness and direction.

“For that silky texture we all adore on Sabrina, start with the Shark FlexStyle Styling Concentrator attachment on slightly damp hair to smooth it all out before switching to the round brush. To style, firstly brush the hair left then to the right and then back so that your bangs fall away from your face and maintain the parting.”

Once you’ve added an extra touch of volume to the roots of your bangs, Chris suggests going in with a round brush or the FlexStyle’s Auto-Wrap Curler attachment to add Sabrina’s signature swoop.

“Pull the hair forward once or twice before twisting back until your bangs are framing your face, creating that romantic texture and dimension.”

With your Sabrina-inspired bangs now set and ready to go, Chris recommends using the FlexStyle Oval Brush attachment on dry hair to add extra volume all over.

“Start and the roots of your fringe, lifting the hair up and back. The secret here is to make sure you maintain some tension as you go. For a lasting look and extra volume, you can use two rollers at the top of your head for salon-level dimension.”
