Nine CEO Hugh Marks say he has 'no regrets' about letting the vereran journalist walk away.
"I don't regret it at all. It was exactly the right decision for us to make," Marks told The Daily Telegraph.
Hugh's maintains his claims that Lisa's pay demands weren't viable, given that she had other commercial contracts with rival companies that restricted their complete access to her.
"We got to the point where for the level of work she did for the rights that we were able to access for Lisa, we weren't able to come to a commercial agreement," he further explained.
It's still unclear as to who will be replacing Lisa's role.
