But Survivor champion and 2020 Bachelor Locky shared his own supportive message to David via his Instagram Stories.
"Good luck to this legend on Celebrity Apprentice Australia," Locky captioned a cheeky selfie of himself and David.
Locky dedicated a post to David following his big Survivor win this year with a collection of snaps of them together during their time on the reality show together.
"Was an absolute pleasure playing with you man. I couldn't think of a better player and person to win Survivor All-Stars. A true all-star in all our eyes. #survivorau #ALLSTARS #welldeserved," he wrote back in March.
It'll be a Survivor reunion for David when he stars on the Nine reality show, as 2019 contestant Janine Allis is also starring on the series.
"What an extraordinary cast. Excited for the new adventure which is #australiancelebrityapprentice," the Boost CEO penned on Instagram.
However, there's already been a debate about whether Janine, who is an accomplished entrepreneur in her own right, deserves to be a member of the cast.
"How can Janine be on The Apprentice ... she should be the host," one fan questioned.
"You should be the host," another wrote on Janine's page.
Locky, meanwhile, is living his best loved-up life with girlfriend Irena Srbinovska, whom he met on The Bachelor.
The happy couple recently shared a picture with former Bachie contestant Bel Colwell taken in Sydney's Bondi, with Locky joking in his caption: "Just your casual day out with the girls. #thisisnormalright."
When one follower remarked, "Well it all really depends on who the 3rd wheel is," Locky replied, "I'm clearly 3rd wheeling."
