Irena also shared her excitement for South Australia on her own Instagram account and recalled a sweet moment she and Locky shared on their first night at the Bachelor mansion.
"I told Locky at the first cocktail party that I would be happy to move for love. Looking back almost a year later I am still pinching myself that I am here in WA and call Perth home now," she mused in her caption.
"But it’s time we begin our next chapter with a road trip around Australia (Covid permitting), first stop South Australia," she added, before asking for travel recommendations.
Professional travel guide Locky, who originally hails from SA's Murray Bridge, bonded with Irena over their love of the great outdoors and nature.
"I think that's where we're both happy," he mused in a video released shortly after the Bachelor finale.
Locky and Irena have made it clear that marriage and kids are on the cards but even before the 2020 Bachelor laid eyes on his now-girlfriend, he confessed a love of adventure is a must-have quality in a partner.
"I want someone who has drive and ambition and who’s up for an adventure – but that doesn’t mean she has to jump out of planes with me!" he told Who ahead of the 2020 premiere last year.
Despite finding love in 2020, the couple faced their fair share of obstacles last year.
From mandatory hotel quarantine to Irena's sudden hospitalisation, Locky and Irena had their challenges but the 31-year-old nurse shared a sweet, reflective message to mark the new year.
"Stepping into 2021 with the greatest gift that 2020 gave me... @locklangilbert," she captioned a photo of herself and her boyfriend in Rottnest Island.
"It was a tough year but I have so much to be grateful for and thankful for. Wishing you all a new year filled with joy, happy memories and health."
