While Irena didn’t directly suggest she was after a sponsored meal, it’s no secret this is a sneaky trick many influencers use to spark the interest of brands and local businesses. Her Bachie boyfriend Locky, on the other hand, is adamant this is not the case.
Hours later, he shared a video of their final meal with friends - which, by the way, they enjoyed with co-stars Bel Colwell and Juliette Herrera - making an obvious effort to dismiss these claims.
“We’re just out here at the Coogee Pavilion with the crew. Beautiful food here," he said in the video. “But people that think we’re after free food, we are not."
Panning the camera to the bill, he continued: "We are more than happy to pay for our food and support local businesses.”
Furthering his point, he captioned the clip: “Thanks for the suggestions, yes suggestions only, not collaboration. Always support local business.”
Irena, Locky and Bel all shared the same happy snap of themselves on their respective Instagram pages, with the 2020 Bachelor captioning his snap, “Just your casual day out with the girls #thisisnormalright.”
